We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our journey — ADORA Studios has been internationally recognized at the 17th International Conference of the Faculty of Architecture Research Unit (FARU 2024), hosted by the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Our research received two prestigious awards, marking a proud moment not only for us but also for Bangladesh’s growing influence in architectural innovation.
The Awards
Our paper, titled "Analyzing Numerical Simulation of Ventilation System and Filter Membrane: The Exposure of Airborne Nanoparticles in Health Interior Space," received:
🏆 Highly Commendable Paper Award – Honored for the depth, relevance, and impact of our research among all presented publications.
🏆 Best Presenter Award (Health, Environment & Sustainable Spaces) – Recognized for our clear, compelling, and impactful presentation.
This recognition is the result of over two years of continuous research and experimentation by the ADORA Studios team, led by CEO Muhammad Golam Sami and Head of Construction Mahmuda Yasmin Dola, in collaboration with Arfa Morshed, currently a Lecturer at MIST.
The Research
Our study focuses on improving indoor air quality in health-sensitive and post-pandemic built environments. Utilizing advanced tools like computational fluid dynamics (CFD), FEM-based microfluidic simulations, and lab-on-a-chip biomaterial technology, we proposed a human-centric, sustainable approach to interior environmental control.
The paper also explores integration of:
BIM and machine learning
Computational design and fabrication
Vernacular adaptability in high-tech systems
This work reflects our studio’s mission to bridge technology with tradition, designing future-ready spaces with deep sensitivity to human health, sustainability, and environmental performance.
Our Broader Contribution at FARU 2024
Alongside our awarded paper, our team contributed multiple publications to the FARU Journal:
Analyzing Numerical Simulation of Ventilation System and Filter Membrane: The Exposure of Airborne Nanoparticles in Health Interior Space
Analysis of PM 2.5 Exposure Impact in Different Atmospheric Contexts: A Detailed FEM Simulation Analysis in A Virtual LOAC Device
Evaluating Publicness of Public Space and Its Transforming Pattern: A Case of The Inner Courtyard at Khulna New Market
These contributions mark ADORA Studios as a key player in the regional conversation on sustainable, computational, and socially conscious design.
A Thank You
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to FARU 2024 for providing this global platform and recognizing our vision. This achievement is a shared success — made possible by the passion, patience, and perseverance of our entire team.
Stay with us as we continue to push the boundaries of architecture, research, and immersive design — from Bangladesh to the world.
